Calesa Mexican Restaurant

This place is the best restaurant in Kilgore. I’ve eaten at Jack Ryan’s many times and it’s great. But good lord this salsa is stupid. I got a container to go and it was even better after sitting in my fridge. Go. Enjoy. I will be back many, many times.

Heading to breakfast at another place and the outdoor appeal and lots a customers made me decide to give it a try. I'm glad I did. Pride of ownship shows from being sparkling clean, friendly staff and best of all the best huevos rancheros around. Excellent various hot sauces to try also.

The best place around! Clean- Friendly- and Delicious! Their salsa is spot on. You have to order their huevos rancheros. Oh, and don't forget to get a slice of tres leches.

This place is by far the best in the area you’re gonna want to come back again and again. The staff, the food the atmosphere is absolutely incredible. My new favorite place. Don Chef’s is horrible we left and came here glad we did way better all the way around.

Tried Calesa when in town visiting family, great experience! You could tell everything was fresh. It was all great, but the salsa was best I've had! Chips were crispy & only lightly salted, unlike most other restaurants where you're scraping off excess salt! Had a good dessert selection also. Waitress was very attentive. Restaurant was clean. Definitely plan on coming back when we're in town.

It's such a cute restaurant!! The service was great! It is a super clean place to eat. The food was ok. It is on the mild side for Mexican food in my opinion. I kept waiting for the spiciness. Their tres leches cakes are beautiful I will be going back to get one.

Thank god for places like this... As a vegetarian and a picky eater i was able to modify my order with out an issue. Alot of places make it difficult. The ladies of the establishment were pleasant. They even had black beans available which many places in East Texas don't have unfortunately. I didn't order any meat so they gave me a discount which sold me and I am very appreciative. I inquired about making other dishes for my next visit and to my surprise upon receiving my order they made me a sample of the dish i inquired about for free... The food was authentic and delicious and i will return for more. Highly recommend
